UN World Youth Skills Day 2017, held during the 2017 High-Level Political Forum, was a pivotal event aimed at empowering young people through the promotion of skills development. Organized by UNDESA’s Division for Social Policy and Development in collaboration with UNIDO and United for All Peoples (UP), the event was supported by the NGO Committee on Sustainable Development-NY. Additionally, Disabled Peoples International (DPI) and Manhattan Multicultural Counseling (MMC) participated, contributing to the dialogue on inclusive development and social policies. The event underscored the importance of providing young people, including those with disabilities, the necessary tools and opportunities to thrive in a rapidly evolving global economy.
